Default Wall E

My 6 year old went with his GPA to Wall E and says "it's okay if your Mom and Dad says it's okay. And you should at least be 6 and a half to see Wall E because there is some destroy in it and it could be sad for some people. In the ending Wall E breaks half way but Eve can fix him." " I think some parts are too sad for my Mom"

Mommy says - I didn't see the movie but heard there are some heavy themes. For example earth is a pile of rubbish ( hmm how did it get that way - irresponsible earthlings)and Wall E has been alone for 700 years cleaning it up. Also, humans have been on a 700 year cruise and have morphed into "huge fat larve" ( my sisters words ) that loll around doing nothing but looking at screens and texting each other.

Mom says thumbs down for Marin Pixar brainwashing.

I say thumbs down for judging without seeing.

I agree Canton.

By the way, we did see the movie and it was rather predictable. Weird ending though. I'd give it 3 out of 5. Pixar has certainly figured out the hit factor though.

Point taken Hero. Since dealing with 5 year old fallout from The Lion King (the movie years ago) I'm more apt to jump the gun theme wise. Liked Cars though.

OK I finally went to see it I'd say it is the least watchable Pixar movie made. And Ping was right. There were some heavy and stereotypical themes. I don't want to give too much of it away but we humans are not given much respect. People who lay out at the pool don't even know it's there. They don't even know each other are there. Love and emotion are saved for robots. The ending was predictable from the start.

I would wait for it to come out on video.

That is an adult's opinion. The kids I took really liked it though I can't tell (for them) where it falls vs. Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, or the Toy Story movies. It's at the bottom for me.

I saw it with HOC and honestly loved it. Disney really took a chance and pulled it off. Like normal Pixar did a beautiful job with the animation. The plot
was really intriguing and I thought the themes of
Spoiler: show
the humans being large, and the earth being a wasteland
were a really interesting depiction of how life could theoretically be.

Finally got around to finishing this (I had pretty much finished it a while ago but made some last second changes just now):
