Veggie Tales The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything

Saw this on Pay Per View in the hotel this weekend. Two thumbs up from Mommy and son. Hub took a nap per usual.

Theme: Everyone can do the right thing.

Fun humor on both parent and child level. Only two potty humor jokes. Enough piratey action to keep the kids happy. Rugrat liked it so much we got it AGAIN night two. That's a first.

Missing is the overt biblical reference. So, for some that's a plus and IMHO it didn't detract. Also very nice is the fact that it doesn't hit you over the head with the theme 20 billion times.

How old (what age) is the Veggie Tales series for? I haven't seen them before, but have heard good reviews.

Your girlies will like it I think. They will like the funny guys now and pick up on some of the bigger theme stuff later. Jonah is the only long one out. You can borrow some of ours if you want to give them a gander. I think they are 2 and up.

Thank you! Your lil' guy is absolutely fantastic btw. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him last week (I'm sure he was bored but he never let me know it!). Its so nice to see happy, respectful kids! So now you get a big hug for being a good mama.

I did a little preview of Veggie Tales during nap time yesterday... I think its a little over her head right now, but I was completely entertained. It was completely age /tone/language/etc appropriate, and enough 'grown up' humor thrown in to keep me interested!
