True Blood

The first installment of the HBO adaptation of Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Series was on tonight. I love the books because she does a great job of blending mystery, social commentary, fantasy and humor. And, I was pleased with tonight's episode. Looks like a faithful adaptation with lots of complexity. Another good HBO dive into a subculture.

P.S. mature audiences only.. really. And I closed my eyes during some parts.
