The Jim Henson-created characters may be on their way back thanks to a new Disney Film. In the movie, written by Forgetting Sarah Marshall star and writer Jason Segel, the Muppets reunite to save their studio with one last variety show.

The source added: "If the movie script is popular Jason will write the TV series too. He is already coming up with ideas for it."

my 2 and 4 year old love the old muppet shows we have on DVD...I love that they love it since I loved it as a kid!

next: Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote
(all that "violence" in those cartoons seemd to work out for me okay, or so says my blank police record)

Saw Alice Cooper in concert once, don't remember any muppets being there.

Oh yes I was. I didn't mention the flying headless bats and the bloody gremlins. I just said I didn't remember any muppets being there.
