PC 832 is an interesting course to take. However, it does not substitute for a BSIS guard card course. If you want to become a private security guard, it won't hurt you, but it also won't help you get your guard card. You'd have to get that separately. If anything, an EGUSD student should take the course just to get a glimpse into the world of Law Enforcement.

Yeah, that or a position with a private security company confused me, as most private security firms probably don't care if you have 832 certification.

It's required here because of the tickets that CSD used to write (and still might be able to write on district property if so deemed by the BOD).

Btw, all the folks working for security right now have a POST academy, which is more than the 832 certification.

What also confused me was the age. 16? Can someone get a job that young? What I don't know is if the certification expires if not used in a job.
