Stopped at Davis Ranch Saturday near closing for standard veggies and to sample InCahoots chuckwagon offerings for takeout. InCahoots folks are really friendly and service is great. Expected true smoked BBQ babyback ribs, and ordered half-slab for takeout. Server threw in tasty small dish of cooked potatos with veggies/peppers. Chuckwagon cowboy cook"ie" admitted meats on-site are not slow-cooked in smoker, unlike their restaurant in Plymouth. He marinates and rubs for 24-hours, then grills on open-pit grill, frequently turning, stating "he makes the best falling off the bone ribs in the territory". Don't all chuckwagon cooks say that? Opened package at home to find six small babyback ribs, cost $13 +tax, and pork was glued to the bone, sparse and required lots work to "savor". Kinda' like eating tasteless rubber, although I admit I did not apply the offered extra BBQ sauce at takeout, to disguise the unflavor. So no more of that under my saddle for me, although in the future might try their $1/ear BBQ Davis corn; also I believe this chuckwagon campsite is no reflection on the real offerings of real smoked goods at the Plymouth HQ restaurant, which I have not yet tried. Any others who have? All in all

Here is our experience with Incahoots at Sloughhouse. Since our kids were coming to dinner I decided to try the ribs at the ranch. I went down and got some corn, always great, and 1 side of ribs, cost $20.00. Tried to get some coldslaw but they didn't have any containers to put it in except for a small plastic bowl which they were selling for $1.00 each. Passed on the slaw. Got the ribs home, put together some B-B-Q'd beans, corn and a small salad and sat down for the feast. We cut the ribs off and found that half of the ribs were "raw". I mean pink to the bone. Now knowing you must be careful with "raw pork"....I had to nuke them to finish the cooking process before eating. I was really not impressed with the taste either unless you covered them with the sauce provided. I was disappointed with the ribs since I had heard that the same food is delicious up in Plymouth. Not sure if we will try that again......
