This is an out right lie and is totally unacceptable. If you don't believe this lady wasn't pregnant then you aren't being objective or have never lived with a women 7 months pregnant.

IF this is even true.... IMO, the now-governor of Alaska made a personal decision- one that was best for her daughter AND their family. There was no abortion (again, commendable), and the child was raised, until now, without controversy. Slow down for a minute and think about who is really getting ruined here- and its not the Governor, McCain, or even Palin's daughter. Its the kid.

Sarah Palin wasn’t REALLY pregnant — it’s her daughter’s child.
This popped up on a Daily Kos diary and has unfortunately been repeated by bloggers who should know better. The rumor is a weird reversal of the John Edwards story, only this time, critics refute Palin’s maternity. Supposedly, so the story goes, the baby really was their eldest daughter’s (currently in high school), and not hers. The proof? At six months, Palin didn’t “look pregnant”, and supposedly her daughter had mono and took some time off from school. That’s it.
This is, simply, despicable. Babies born to teen mothers rarely have Down’s Syndrome anyway, whereas the possibility for that with a mother in her 40s is about 1 in 20. Athletic women sometimes do not show until late in the pregnancy. The whole rumor rests on the notion that the state’s most visible woman could carry out a fake pregnancy in front of the press while simultaneously hiding her daughter, and then pull a switcheroo — and for what possible purpose? To cover up a teen pregnancy, in this day and age? Give me a break.
The picture below was published at the end of February, and she certainly appears to be significantly wider than we saw yesterday on the dais.



If this is what the opposition comes down to, McCain made the wisest possible choice, and in the process exposed the opposition in a way that could never have been possible with any other running mate.

If you can't see the problems with this then you are not being objective. This is terrible parenting, it's terrible leadership, and it's pathetic. Watch the video and watch her lie to her constituents.

It's LYING, which involves multiple people. You know the number one rule? Tell the truth.

I say, " who cares".....? Today women get pregnant without marriage all the time...kids, teens, have babies all the time....why should her family be any different?? If this is true it won't affect my vote one way or the other.....if it's ok for presidents to have "affairs" or whatever you want to call them, then why.....(if it is true) would it affect her being VP?? I sure don't see any reason why not....

I dont know about that. In my life before I had kids, it was black and white. Now that I have my own, I'm not so sure. Parents make (what seem like) odd decisions for their children. But you're talking about politics here- you are seriously saying that you think the rest of these guys are above the line on everything else? Please.

The good news about presidential politics? They'll have her history mapped out and the skeletons on display long before the actual election. Everyone will get a fair chance to know who it is their voting for.
