Default Tax Advice from ACORN

The hits just keep on coming at ACORN. Did you know you can get tax advice regarding “very young girls” from El Salvador who would work as prostitutes in the U.S.A.?

Second Video Shows ACORN Officials Helping 'Pimp,' 'Prostitute' in Washington Office - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

From the story:
"One day before the Washington video was shot, O'Keefe and Giles sought help from ACORN workers in Baltimore, who told the pair how to falsify tax forms and seek illegal benefits for 13 "very young" girls from El Salvador that they said they said they wanted to import as prostitutes."

Aren’t you glad your tax dollars are going to this “community organizer” group?

I wonder how much Health Reform could be funded by eliminating the fraud and abuse in the funding of ACORN?

Mortgage Meltdown ring a bell?

"* Most banks won’t count public assistance or voluntarily child support in determining if you’ll qualify for a mortgage.
*With our program, all steady income counts."

Our Homebuyer’s Program

Intimidating to nearly everyone, the homebuying process seems impossible to millions of low and moderate income Americans. ACORN Housing’s mortgage counseling program eases the difficulty of buying a home for those with low incomes – we’ve helped over 50,000 families to achieve their dreams of homeownership since 1986. We have also assisted hundreds of existing homeowners to avoid foreclosure and preserve their homes-including victims of predatory lending and others who’ve faced serious and unexpected financial hardships.

ACORN Housing Counselors make the homebuying process more accessible to first-time buyers. Instead of having to approach bankers or contend with brokers, first-time homebuyers can meet our counselors in the local ACORN Housing office to pre-qualify for a mortgage. If you have credit problems, you’ll learn ways to resolve them. If you don’t qualify for the program right away, you can attend our free Budget and Credit Seminar for additional help with financial management.

Counseling

As a community-based, non-profit housing counseling agency we’re here to help you choose the loan option that’s best for you. ACORN Housing’s loan counseling program is HUD certified and our services are free of charge.

As a community-based, non-profit housing counseling agency we’re here to help you choose the loan option that’s best for you. ACORN Housing’s loan counseling program is HUD certified and our services are free of charge.

We provide pre-purchase counseling for low to moderate income homebuyers. See HUD Income limits for your area to see if you are eligible.
We look at your savings and credit history to see if you qualify for a mortgage. We can help you with credit problems and to create a downpayment savings plan. When you qualify, we can help arrange a mortgage with lower interest rates, lower down payments and lower settlement costs than what banks usually offer.

Mortgage Programs

Through ACORN Housing, homebuyers can gain access to mortgage programs with lower interest rates, lower down payments, flexible underwriting guidelines and lower origination fees. With AHC, you can refinance for better terms through the innovative agreements we’ve formed with lenders.

With AHC you get:

* Lower down payments and closing costs.
* No Private Mortage Insurance.
* Banks generally require 3 months of mortgage payments in the bank at settlement.
* With our program, they don’t, which allows you to buy a home sooner.
* Most banks won’t count public assistance or voluntarily child support in determining if you’ll qualify for a mortgage.
*With our program, all steady income counts.

Can We Help You?

Please continue on with our four step Counseling program listed below to learn more about AHC homebuying services available to you.

It would almost be laughable, if it weren’t literally billions of our tax dollars at work.

Census Bureau severs ties with ACORN in 2010 count

Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Census Bureau on Friday severed its ties with ACORN, a community organization that has been hit with Republican accusations of voter-registration fraud.

"We do not come to this decision lightly," Census director Robert Groves wrote in a letter to ACORN, which was obtained by The Associated Press. In splitting with ACORN, Groves sought to tamp down GOP concerns and negative publicity that the partnership will taint the 2010 head count.

Prosecute the ACORN video makers?

Baltimore, MD - September 11, 2009 - We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City State's Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.

If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.

Where are all the Dems on this site? Amazing how not one has jumped on here and tried to defend Obuma's favorite community organization. Truly amazing.

Breaking: Census Bureau cuts ties to ACORN; Update: “We do not come to this decision lightly”

posted at 6:30 pm on September 11, 2009 by Allahpundit

No link yet at Fox but Major Garrett’s tweeting about it. From a practical standpoint, this is no great shakes; ACORN didn’t have a huge role in the census plans. But from a political standpoint, the feds dumping the president’s favorite community organizers for simply being too filthy to associate with is devastating.

U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama meets with ACORN workers in 2004.

The two newest activists-slash-pimps were fired today, but who knows how many more videos Big Government has in the can? Think there are any nervous executives among ACORN management tonight? Stand by for an update when the story is posted on Fox, but in the meantime Ace has it exactly right:
This will be yet another story where those reading the MSM only find out about the escalating controversy after a big action has been taken.
The Past-Tense Media.
Update: This is not the ACORN they thought they knew, although, um, it is for pretty much everyone else.
“We do not come to this decision lightly,” Census director Robert Groves wrote in a letter to ACORN, which was obtained by The Associated Press.
In splitting with ACORN, Groves sought to tamp down GOP concerns and negative publicity that the partnership will taint the 2010 head count.
“It is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts,” Groves wrote.
Follow the link and see how far down you have to read into the AP piece to find anything about prostitution.
Update: James O’Keefe, the mastermind behind the ACORN sting, warns CNN and the rest of the Past-Tense Media to stop bugging him for interview requests until they have the stones to air the hidden-camera footage:
Here’s what I have noticed from your coverage: You brought in the damage control crowd to FRAME the story. Before even airing our damning Baltimore video. You know your audience would turn on ACORN if you showed them the evidence. So instead you put your competitors in journalism in the crosshairs instead of airing a blockbuster report making massive waves elsewhere.
You even trotted out shameless Clinton era apologist Joe Conason to challenge the ETHICS of our expose. Unreal.
Update: “Repeat after me: ACORN is a criminal enterprise.”

Update: As must happen whenever a liberal is under fire politically, the race card is duly and half-heartedly played.

The scandal surrounding the left-wing activist organization ACORN has spread to New York, with employees at its Brooklyn office caught on video helping supposed ladies of the night get loans for their dream houses of ill repute.

Rather than reminding the women that prostitution is dangerous and illegal and advising them to change their careers, counselors at the social-services group shockingly offer suggestions on how they can launder their earnings.
