So that's the JFK legacy Obama patterns himself after?

There were plenty of Republicans that could have reversed JFK's policy and didn't.

Obama isn't JFK, he's his own man and I like the fact that he will take the best and brightest from all sides to fix a problem.

Crystal ball time? What problem needs fixing regarding Cuba? Im good with isolating them. This election wasnt about electing a king, it was a simple transfer of power and Cuba wasnt a part of the equation to my knowledge. I'll put money on Obama continuing the current policy on Cuba.

Now that this guy has been sworn in, what's next? The promised complete change of our economic system? The promised change to our health care system? Government controlled markets? Government sponsered and supported abortions? I can hardly wait. We all know how competent our government is. I can hardly wait to sit back on my butt for a "change" and let others pay my bills. Let's all share the wealth, I certainly need it.

The only beneficiary of this administration, aside from the Dem crooks in his cabinet, is Rush Limbaugh. That guy will now have more material than ever. Thanks to my fellow countrymen.

New White House Site Slams Bush
By ANDY BARR | 1/20/09

The new White House website unveiled by President Barack Obama’s team Tuesday includes a shot at former President Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina.

Under the “agenda” portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: “President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.”

“President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina,” the statement on the site continues. “Citing the Bush Administration’s ‘unconscionable ineptitude’ in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims.”

The site also points out that Obama “visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region” and worked with the Congressional Black Caucus to help rebuild in the aftermath of Katrina…

So much for Mr. Obama’s “post-partisan politics.” The man is such a “unifier.”

Of course this entry, like most of the agenda items on the White House site, has just been copied and pasted from the Obama campaign site.

(By the way, Mr. Obama is still promising to hold direct negotiations with Iran “without preconditions.”)

Still, what a crass thing to do. Not to mention that it also has the benefit of being completely mendacious.

But what else can one expect from a Chicago machine politician thug? Lies are mother’s milk to him
.

(We have posted the screen capture from the White House site, in case the Obama people decide to disappear it, as they have done it the past.)

From the Site: Sweetness & Light

The site changed literally as Obama was sworn in.

Spoken like a true patriot. Ever thought that maybe there are ways that you can help improve the country besides the 3 minutes you took to vote?

It's hilarious watching the news and hearing all the talk of this mystical change that our country is going through. I hope he does a good job, because he's convinced a lot of people that things will be different. If he's a failure, we may not see another Democratic President for quite some time.

I'm not going to give you my resume, but I assure you I have done far more than most in serving my country and fellow man. Far more. My point is that this new guy has been placed on a pedestal and practically worshipped as the Mesiah. His resume shows him to be an empty suit with no real accomplishments or track record. He has audacity and arrogance going for him, not much more. His cabinet picks don't concern you? Bush may have made some mistakes, but none were for personal gain. The new guys cabinet will be full of questionable characters. Crooks, cheats, liars and those with serious ethical conflicts that the Dem controlled congress appears to be more than willing to ignore. This new administration is a disaster waiting to happen.

Did you notice the booing of the former president and first lady? Classless. Did you notice the vandalism to the Bush statue and plaque? Did you notice the Bush's did not leave the Whitehouse with gifts and furniture that did not belong to them? Were all the "B"'s found to be missing from the Whitehouses' computers?

It's good that we had a peaceful transfer of power, we're used to that and it comes as no surprise. An honorable man and his family served our country well. We'll see what this new guy does soon enough. If he does what he says he's going to do we're all in trouble. Government is not the answer, it never was nor will be. How can you expect anyone who seriously believes in free markets and the power of the individual to support the new guys socialist big government politics? Should we really give this guy time to screw things up before opposing his ideas? I hope he fails quickly and the country gets back on the right track in a hurry.

What exactly does "patriot" mean to a Dem? Birdie doesn't feel the warm and fuzzies? Not a true believer?

Mick

If government is not the answer, why did the Republican administration develop the 'bail out' plan to begin with? Doesn't sound like a free market to me.

Also, if I am following correctly, your hope is that the new administration fails, meaning you hope more banks fail, more jobs are lost, more homes are foreclosed? And then things will get on track? What exactly will the free market do to ensure the "...country gets back on the right track in a hurry."?

Believe me, I am not a huge G Bush fan, but I never wanted him to fail just to see another political party take over ( I am not a democrat). I would rather see 'someone' focus on solving problems and less on defeating the other party. So far, neither party has shown me they are capable.
