It is an historic moment in our history, and a symbol of what America can be in terms of equal opportunity.

I sincerely hope that President Elect Obama makes good on his image, and becomes the uniter that he purports to be, rather than the very one sided partisan he has practiced to date.

Congratulations are certainly in order...I hope the ride is worth it to us all.

I know RM is largely a right-leaning community; however, after watching Sen. McCain's most impressive concession speech, I suspect he may be first in line to lead all the doubters to support our new President-elect, Barack Obama.

it is interesting to see how California is viewed as a very liberal state, and yet conservative social values are winning (repeatedly) from year to year.

Even more ironic when you look at the fact that our state legislature has been dominated by Democrats for so long, yet it remains sexy to blame the Governator for the budget problems etc.

Maybe Obama IS the one who can straighten out all of this. But if/when he is not able to do so, please don't bend over backwards to find a scapegoat other than him, the House or the Senate...there will be no where else to point.

The Democrat deck is stacked...let's see how the hand is played.
