I found this great Chardonnay when we went to Calistoga a month or so ago. We didn't find it at a winery but at a local restaurant in Calistoga, speaking of which, great restaurants over there!
Anyway, it's call Bohemian Highway and it's a 2005 Chardonnay. I noticed they were at the Winefest and later I asked Margaret of MarShaTes if she could get. Coincidently, someone else must have liked as they ordered a case. I opted to just start with a bottle to make sure I still like it and it is very good and very inexpensive, like $6.50 incl. tax! I think I will go back and order a case, that was about $70.
Thank you BethB! I will have to give it a taste test.

Yesterday we went wine tasting in Napa with two other couples from Murieta. We took a limo from RM and drank wine all the way We had a great time. Anyway we found a new wine that we liked. It was made by Darioush and it was called 2006 Signature Viognier. It was $35 a bottle.

Matthew that sounded like a great day trip....what fun! I don't drink much wine since I was raised with it. My grandfather and grandmother used to make their own. I was exposed to it at a very young age...of course it was always watered down when I was young. Our family had wine with every dinner. I do enjoy a glass now and then when we go out to a nice dinner. Thanks for the recommendation though.
We had a 2005 Rombauer Chardonnay at Biba's Friday night which was incredible. Looks like it can be had at around $30 a bottle at retail (tho almost twice that in a restaurant natch). I'm going to scrounge around locally to see if I can find it on a shelf somewhere.

My wife, daughter and I went to Charles Krug.... where it all began in Napa on Wednesday. Its slow in the midweek and we tasted everything on two flights for free and I mean free. We ended up buying several bottles but really liked the 9 clone cab at 80 a bottle. Being a gadget collector I bought a Vinturi as well.

I like a Zin by Kunde..most palatable. Also Gnarly Head ( Zin ) that folks brought over last week. I only had one swig of it; it was all gone before we ate dinner!
