Default July is National Ice Cream Month

July is National Ice Cream Month! In 1984, dessert-lover Ronald Reagan designated July as a time to honor America's favorite sweet. This is a good month to learn about ice cream and its history and benefits. It is also a great excuse to take your mom, dad, brother, sister, or even your best friend out to get a cool cone or an ice cream popsicle.

Yea there is one in Folsom. It closed for a while, but I heard they were opening back up, not sure though.

The Sacramento Zoo is celebrating.

Not into ice cream myself; must admit Costco's vanilla beats them all hands down. Too bad one has to buy so much at a time though. Hubby has no problem with it as does our puppy! Now...if it came in chocolate.....drooling here. I'd be a third fatter! Maybe someone is looking out for me, hey? *S*

I've found several Ben & Jerry's that I'm crazy about. Banana Split has got to be my favorite now, I wish the Plaza could get it on a consistent basis. I've asked but it depends on when their supplier can get it.
We went to Bel Air over in Elk Grove on our way home last weekend, I went crazy with all the flavors. I must have ended up with 10 different pints of B&J, another one I hadn't tried and it's great is Smore's...oh yum

I've tried the Haagen-Daz but I just don't care for it, usually too sweet or something. Their Banana Split wasn't good at all.
