Lepera- Incumbent (President) with a really good attitude and work ethic. Has achieved a great deal over the last 3 years.

Valdez- Incumbent who has served on committees and was President of Sierra View CC.

Pasek- Involved on several committees and a strong work ethic.

Foutz- Overachiever in business but has barely been here 3 years and has never served on any committees.

Casey- Been around a while, served on a few committes years ago but hasn't been involved in club government for some years.

Wasser- Never served on any committees and stated many false details at candidates night.

Just my take on what I saw last night, take it for what it's worth. I ranked them by who I would vote for. The meeting should be airing on channel 5 in the near future.

I'm a few days behind posting, but I did attend the candidates night and completely agree with Birdies comments.
Valdez was not there due to family emergency but I worked with him on the finance committee and he is a great asset to the club, which is probably why he was selected by the Board, to fill out Paul Davis's term when he resigned due to relocating.
For those unable to attend suggest you try to catch the replay on Channel 5.....and form your own opinion.

As social members, we are not allowed to vote; however, I have spoken to CC Directors about perhaps providing social members a fractional vote; on the plus side, charging social members a fractional portion of any new assement. For nowI understand that's a "no go," as social members have no "equity" in their membership(s). Something to think about for the current/new Board, as it is many years before ownership will revert to the club from PTF.

Ballots should be coming in the mail soon and the vote deadline is the end of the month. We must ensure that we keep the BOD intact, as they are making strides in a very positive direction. A major change now, in my opinion, would be a huge set back to the positive things that are happening now. I for one will be casting my vote for Vince Lepera, not only because of the tremendous amount of positive things he has done, but in the confidence I have that he will continue working hard and striving to make RMCC the best club in town. We are on the right track folks, let's make sure we stay there.

I am one of the members who cares more about the courses than the service at the club and Vince Lepera has been as receptive about improving course conditions as anybody who has been on the board since I joined. I also want golfers on the Board because I know they care about the conditions, which is why I will also vote for Valdez.

Rancho Murieta CC is known for the greens, and recently the greens have been nice and fast. I am very happy with how they were running. (Before they were aerated last week.)

Thumbs up Re: RMCC BOD Election

I would like to suggest members of the RMCC vote for Vince Lepera for the RMCC Board. In my opinion he and the current board had done a yeoman’s job of running our club, particularly in the past several months. This board had taken on the task of examining every aspect of the clubs operations with the view of finding areas of needed improvement and financial responsibility and implementing needed changes. They also have done an excellent job of communicating with the membership and keeping us informed of what is going on.

Vince has taken on the job of GM and involved himself in every area of club operation at no charge to the club and I believe he has done so in the spirit of concern for the future of RMCC and the membership. I personally have seen more of Vince at the club and club functions in the past 7-8 months than I did of our previous GM in 8-years.

There is one area that I believe there is bad information being disseminated and that concerns water for the golf course. There is a shortage of reprocessed water available from CSD and they can not supply fully the clubs needs. Vince has been aware of this situation and he worked with CSD to insure we got as much water as possible. As there is not enough reprocessed water CSD has agreed to give us additional fresh water from the lakes and river when needed. The shortage of reprocessed water is not because of a lack of storage space, but a lack of reprocessed water period. Each month we have a Presidents meeting of the club, RMA, MTI, and CSD. This morning we went over this situation in detail so I know the above to be the case. If you want confirmation contact CSD and ignore the rumors concerning this subject.

From personal discussions I’ve had with Vince I know improvement of the golf course is at the top of the priority list for this board. Perhaps the course wouldn’t be in the shape it’s in if in 1999 the then board and GM, after having the USGA give us a plan and recommendations for what was needed to keep the course in prime shape, decided to not implement the plan. Why this decision was made I don’t know, maybe they had good reasons, however, we now have a course that needs much help. The condition of this course lies on the shoulders of the previous boards and GM who decided we needed an arborist (Tree Specialist) instead of a Grass Specialist as golf course supervisor. You might have noticed the recommended way to play Golf is to play on the grass not in the trees.

A vote for Vince Lepera is a vote for the future of this club.

I'm going with Golfing Bear on this one. Vince has worked hard and done a great job. I look forward to having him on the board for many years. I like his open door policy and I have found he is always open to advice, criticisms, compliments, etc about the club. I'm also going with Mike. Don't know about the third though.

When I watched candidates night on TV, I found it odd that I had never seen two of the candidates (even though I am at the club often) and have rarely seen another candidate. I wonder how much time and money they have spent at the club they now want to serve.

Anyway, Vince has us on the right track and I want to keep us there.
