Want a blog – New service

I am now offering free blogs to anyone in Rancho Murieta that wants one. Blogs are separate from the forums and can be used for just about anything you want. You can use them to spout political rhetoric, talk about local issues, keep family members up to date, the possibilities are endless. You will also have the ability to create static pages. The service could be great for groups or even businesses that want a website, but do not want the expense and issues with maintaining an entire site. The blog software I am using is called Wordpress and is very easy to use. You can even post new entries to your blog by sending in a simple email. Here is a quick example of what a basic blog will look like:

You can title your blog whatever you would like and you will have full admin control. You can also apply themes to your site. Themes will completely change the look and feel of your blog. They are simple to install. Take a look at all of these themes and find one you like and I will install it for you.

There are all kinds of ways to extend your blog, so if you have an idea for your blog let me know and I will see what we can do to accomplish it. I am not sure if anyone would want to take advantage of a service like this but I thought I would make the offer.

How would this be different than developing a blog from wordpress or blogger, etc?

not much different. I thought people may want a blog where it is linked to this site. more local people will read it. I can also help customize a blog more than the other free services. it could be good for local groups that want a basic website.
