The tone of some threads has been going downhill lately. There are a few posters that seem to have a vendetta for each other. I do understand many of you may have a “history”, long before this site began. While I want to provide a place for everyone to have open discussions, I don’t want this to be a place where you are simply venting your dislike for another member of this community.
I am all for disagreements and dissenting points of view, actually I enjoy it, but as the saying goes “if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all”. I am asking the more opinionated posters to step down the attitude a couple of notches. I want to leave this place open for discussion and I really don’t want to start putting in more controls, but I will if needed.
Thanks for understanding (or at least reading) and as always I am open to feedback.
Matt

While members are forced to read this thread it does mean it applies to you specifically.
This is just a not so subtle reminder for everyone to play nice.
I’ll admit that I’ve certainly been in my share of nasties, but its typically been with one particular person. Rather than continue to participate in what became a 1 on 1 battle, I took advantage of the ignore list. Although it doesn’t completely stop one from reading what someone on the ignore list says, it does a good enough job so that that particular irritant is no longer an irritant. Remove the irritant and suddenly all of the communications take on a “softer” tone.

WOW! That's not condescending.

I have to assume you were refering to Jack. I don't believe I was the one calling someone an irritant. Cheap shot, don't you think?
