Tags

There is a new feature on RMO called tags. Tags are just keywords for the subject matter being discussed. When you start a thread look for the tags field. Here you can type in a few keywords that you feel represent your thread. Tags are separated by commas. Other users can also ad keywords to a thread later if more are needed.

As more tags are added they create what is called a tag cloud. Tag clouds display all of the keywords used to describe all of the threads. The more times a keyword is used the larger the font. This way you can get a visual of the popularity of certain subjects. Clicking a keyword will show you all of the threads that have that particular tag. In this way it gives you the ability to do another kids of search.

There are two place to find the tag cloud. One in towards the bottom of the main forum page and the other is here. You do not need to enter tags when you create a thread, but it can be interesting to see what subjects are talked about often. Let me know if you have any questions on the tags.
