We had a spammer on here sending PMs to our users. They were simply trying to get you to visit their website. Jeannette was the user. Jeannette has been banned.

having run a forum for quite a while we were constantly being scanned by googlebots and other search engines making us more visable to the outside world...if you check your daily records you will find lots of bots out there scanning hourly...we finally had to shut down and rejoin another free forum with more protection because we were spending more time defending it from bots than we were using it...be careful

Thanks for the info of "Jeannette" Matthew. I received an email from "her" which I ignored and was immediately suspicious of for 2 reasons-first she wrote-"Hi, I'm new here. How's it going?" Women don't say, "How's it going?" And I've personally never seen Jeanette spelled the way "she" spelled it.

bme, you aren't from la. we say how's it going all the time... (and i'm female) and i went to school with a girl that spelled her name that way. her twin was name jeannelle. ? that was many yers ago...
