Matthew, what is rep power? Is this new or have I just not noticed it before?

Everyone has a "reputation" on this site. Your reputation is represented by the green blocks on the top right hand side of each post. Your reputation is not accurate yet. I still need to move over the karma scores from the old site.

You can add of subtract from someone's reputation by clicking on the scale also in the upper right hand corner of each post. You can add to someone's reputation without a comment. To subtract from someones reputation you must leave a comment as to why. The person will not see who gave/removed reputation points, but they will see the comments on their profile page.

The reputation power is how many reputation points you can give or remove from someone else. You gain rep power several ways. I will post those ways after I fix everyone's reputation points.

Also hitting the "Thanks" button will give the person 2 reputation points.
