Groans Good or Bad?

Here is a poll on groans. Do you think they are helpful to the forum or not? The idea was to be able to express dissatisfaction without the need get into an exchange of words. Does it accomplish that task or does it just create issues between users?

I guess a groan can hurt feelings; sometimes, though I'd like a hapy face (as opposed to a thanks)when you just laugh at something really humorously well-put in a post without really saying you agree or disagree with the tone of the message itself.

I think groans do a good job of taking the place of saying 'you're full of it' or 'I dont agree with that'. Its much nicer than what can be typed out- I think they serve a good purpose. I dont happen to take groans seriously- I see them as being mildly entertaining. But I also have chosen to not take these forums that seriously either- we can all go around in circles (and around and around) on different things and there isn't a single person who I still wouldn't sit down and have a good laugh and a cocktail with (okay, maybe one?).
