Somebody . . .
Somebody actually took the time to research this? I'm for doing things to help out as much as I see fit, but wipe your hands on your pants? And you guys wonder why I can be so cynical. For the record, it's paper towels for me no matter if I have to bring in my own. I hate those darn air dryers.

JM, that was a perfect comment and so true!! It always reminds me of the Jerry Seinfeld show where Jerry was with his girlfriend at her father's Pizza parlor. Jerry was washing his hands in the bathroom and the father (who made the pizza's) came out of the stale, looked in the mirror, fixed his hair, and walked out of the bathroom without washing. Then Jerry had to figure out how to not eat the pizza without offending his girlfriend. It always amazes me when I see women rinse slightly with only water, dry and walk out. I guess I should be glad that they at least use some water. I would suspect that men probably don't even do that. I do agree birdie, that I don't like the air dryers either, however, it is better than nothing, especially when there is no paper in the dispenser!!
How many men do you all see that actually use soap and water after doing their business so that they would actually need the paper towels rather than the air dryer? I guess I'm being sexist aren't I?

Depends on where I am at. At a decent restaurant I would say most, but at Home Depot, not too many.

i won't use them, so that's a waste, i shake the drips off, and let air dry... but never thought to bring my own...
Am I a gross guy b/c I do often just dry my hands on my jeans after washing? This is when I'm not doing surgery (or kneading pizza), and it is just water.

I can only imagine what life will be like when I don't have to leave the house with a full supply of paper products in my diaper bag! My dad has always had a good laugh with the amount of paper towels we go through-- and that I should at least take some ownership and buy stock in Kimberly Clark. He's probably right....
