Default LED Christmas lights

We have two 9 foot trees in our house, one that came pre-lit and one that we put lights on each year. This year we did the one in LED multi-colored lights. Each tree has over 600 lights. Then I used that wattage meter thing I bought earlier in the year and plugged each tree into in. The incandescent mini lights took 360 watts and the mini LED lights took 30 watts. What a difference, huh?

We also have a little 3 foot tree in the window that used 160 watts with incandescent lights. I changed those to LED and it was something like 8 watts.

I was amazed that the little 3 foot tree took so much more wattage than the 9 foot one with the old lights. Next year I'm taking the lights off the pre-lit tree and changing those to LED.

I was a bit apprehensive about the newer LED lights until night came and the ones we put above the garage have a glow that I really like. As the older clusters wear out I will be replacing them with the newer LEDs. Imagine a world 20 years hence where housefires from christmas lights are a distant memory.

Now the LED lights while Christmas is increasing gradually over the years. LED lights are more attractive and beautiful than any other lights used during Christmas celebration. And used of in decorating X-mas tree or your home certainly save your power consumption.
