Default Diesel Cars

I remember several years ago when the automobile industry tried to sell diesel cars, saying that diesel was cheaper than gas and the cars ran cleaner....well......here we are now and diesel is way more expensive than gasoline....The Country Store is selling diesel for $4.85 a gal. The same thing happened with electricity....I used to live in a house with gas, then, they came out with the electricity is cheaper than gas slogan. When we first moved out here, you could run your heat or a/c all day and the monthly bill was about $40.-$50. a month. Soon as we all went electric they jacked up the prices and you know what you pay today for a monthly bill......of course they closed Ranch Seco and that didn't help.......interesting!!!

For the same power diesel engines get better gas mileage than gas engines.

I wonder how the two would compare in cost of mile driven? Then factor in which is "cleaner"
