What a parade!!!

What a great Parade this year. I think most of the golf carts in the community were in it..... And, some of the old cars, and muscle cars were cool also!!! The first fire engine in the parade did some hosing of the crowd!!
ALSO, can't forget to mention the Pancake breakfast put on by the Kiwanis's. The story is they sold 1200 tickets, and probably more by the time it was over. All of the people putting this on are amazing. Thanks!!!

It was indeed a great parade! And every year it keeps getting bigger and better. It's obvious that everyone puts a lot of time and thought into decorating their carts (over 100 this year) to just drive a few blocks. I've often thought that it would be really cool if the carts could continue on and do a lap around the front lake. I know that would be too much for the kids, pets, etc., but to see a parade of all of the decorated carts going around the lake would be quite a sight. And it would be a great excuse for a "deck" party. Just a thought.

Thanks to all the groups, volunteers and staff that make this happen every year. I think everyone at every loevel enjoys this parade. This may not be "middle America" but we got it together.

Miss you guys! We're in Tahoe and it's beautiful but...nothing beats RM. And.. it's a little weird. There's nothing specifically patriotic happening. Not a flag in sight. What's up with that? Carry on my friends and thanks for the pics!

I herd a rumor of a Lighted Boat Parade in front of Tahoe Keys at Sunset, but it could be just a rumor by someone trying to get me away from my very lucrative Event Overflow Parking Consession.
