Two-lane entrance on South....

No, wait, make that one! What's up with the second lane closure? It's been coned off for well over a month now. Is the gate broken?

I saw a repair truck looking at it a couple of days ago, but they obviously did not fix it.

As explained to me last night, they were working on the reader on that lane and they had it working and needed to verify that it was working correctly. Apparently, it wasn't working well enough to keep that lane open. I was also told that they've narrowed the cause of the problem down and should have things back to normal soon.

I just hope that what I heard was correct. I wondered about that myself...

Missing/broken part ordered about three weeks ago, then a simple install. Heck, at least we have two resident lanes, not one!

I see the resident side of the south gate is once again a 2 lane gate.

I saw that! By the time I noticed it was open I had already committed to the left lane. I plan on giving the right lane plenty of use to make sure it stays in operation this time!

I have also heard that they opened up the lane at the South Gate. From what I understand, although the old reader did work some, it was too far out of adjustment for it to be repaired on site. There may have also been some other electronic problems with it. I have heard that this new reader is a brand new one and may actually prove to be even more reliable than the one at the other lane. It's been a long time coming, and from talking with some of the gate folks, they've been waiting a long time for the technician to come out here over and over and over again. I guess someone somewhere decided that too much time has gone by and they got a new unit. At least it didn't take as long as putting that overhang back up...

I'm very happy that lane is back up and running!

Quick note the right side did not let me in this morning they had to raise it manually . I hope this was just a small glitch.
That side has always been a lemon. I am hoping that the new reader won't follow suit.
