Dozens of live turkeys are walking along a south Sacramento roadway after a big rig hauling the Thanksgiving stars overturned.The large semi overturned at 10:14 a.m. on Jackson Road west of Dillard Road, an online California Highway Patrol traffic report states. The truck was hauling live turkeys, which are now scattered on the road, the report states. None of the birds was hurt. Westbound Jackson Road is blocked, and there is no estimated time of reopening the road, the CHP reports.


Drivers are asked to use caution if traveling in the area.
