Default slurry seal news

I know this is an old subject, and it really only pertains to the people who live in parks who had slurry seal put on. I talked to Rod Hart about the tire gouges made by large trucks that have occurred many weeks after they put that stuff on, and all of the tiny black pebbles that have broken off and are ending up in our house. He assured me that he is aware of this problem, and it is because the parks don't get the same traffic as the street does to pack down the product. So,, they have a roller that the maintenance people will use in all of the parks to press down the slurry seal to hopefully eliminate the damage of the tires and resulting mess from that. Rod is a very dedicated manager and I'm quite impressed with his work ethic.

Rod is one of the best things that RMA has going for it. At times, he over extends himself, but I'll take that over inattention and lack of caring. Rod is certainly attentive, and cares abour the community.

Great update!

I don't think many people out here know what an asset Rod Hart is. And I know that when something happens out here like the graffiti for an example, he takes it personally. I figured that if my park has these problems, it might be useful information to others who have the same issue.

I have never met Rod Hart, but I have always heard good things about him from many people.

I have met him recently, and can tell everyone, he is taking this vandalism very personally, considering that it took a whole day away from other maintenance to clean the paint off of the bridge. I also know that when I observed someone feeding the deer and other wild animals, it was his department that went to the area where this was taking place and removed all of the cat and bird seed, that was like a buffet for the wild animals that roam our community. I in fact, was told to just call them, not security next time if it happened again. Rod's department really does a lot of stuff that people don't know about and just think they are like a gardening service for us.

Rod and his folks up there at Maintenance are the unsung heroes of RMA.

Mama, You are welcome, I figured this subject might apply to all those who live in a park. I'm worried that those pebbles on our shoes are going to scratch our hard wood floors in our entry, so I probably will institute a no shoes in the house policy soon!!

I might try that too....we have marble in our entry but I'm sure it can be scratched also. I always come in through the garage and I have lots of carpets to wipe my feet on but maybe I will put some slippers out in the garage and change to them as long as we still have the problem....Thanks again for the info....very helpfull...
