Rotary Luau August 2nd

August 2nd is the night of the Rotary-sponsored luau. Dinner, a cocktail, music, hula lessons, and live Hawaiian dance performances are included in the ticket price. Rotary is a fantastic service organization which helps provide education, medical care, and clean water throughout the world. Our club has raised funds for local childhood-cancer research, camping opportunities for local teens (see July 23rd River Valley Times), and in support of the Cosumnes River Elementary. The Rotary Club of Rancho Murieta was chartered in February, and this is our first major function. Please, won’t you consider giving back to the world through Rotary? Tickets are $40 (or $75 for two) and must be purchased by Wednesday. The festivity begins at 6:00 p.m. and is for adults only (21 or better). Purchase tickets at the Rancho Murieta Business Center, the RMA, and MarShaTe’s; or call Chandler Copps at 354-2503.

There are tickets available at RM Business Center, MarShaTes and RMA. Or even cal RMA and ask for the tickets to be left at the door under your name.

If possible could you buy them or reserve them before noon today. I need to give the caterer a count at noon. I will figure a "procrasinator" factor, but the more I know the more accurate we can be with the food.

Maybe the dancers should wear the Goucho nose and then ... well never mind.

So how was the turn out?

The turn out was fine . We actually hit right on the nose our best case scenario for our first year. We hope all had a good time and next year we will set some ambitious goals.
I did not see anyone doing the hula with a Goucho nose though.
