Why does everything around here have to be some great conspiracy?
Did it ever occur to anyone that there are other things besides pay that contributes to someone staying around or leaving? One of those things might just be the "Benefits". Most places (private security) offer poor to no benefits package while paying fairly low wages.

Has it occurred to anyone that Security still has Public Officer (LLE) on their own facilities? While this status might not be much geographically, it still entails further training requirements than any normal security guard must have (PC 832 Arrest & Firearms). Since they are employed by a government, CSD security guards are, by statute, exempt from BSIS training and licensing. The CSD's lawyer himself stated that the CSD chooses to require the BSIS guard training.

I have seen nowhere that LisaT or anyone else on this forum where Chief Remson's job has been called into question except for the first post in this thread.

I also do not see where LisaT has called for his job either. If someone is upset because LisaT is posting facts about something that runs counter to someone's preconceptions, so be it.

I wouldn't be all surprised if much of the issues that are being dealt with today and in the near future all come from how the CSD set things up many years ago and then the Legislature changed things on them.

Innuendo is just as potent, and two posts come to mind from when Ramsey was let go from his probation.

Is the rumor true?
Is the rumor true?

And about the labor laws and regulations changing for security guards? Every single industry gets slammed every few years... and they roll with it. This isn't new. CSD will make the appropriate changes, if not, thats what the Labor Board is for.

Really? I didn't anything in any of the posts she made on that page that insinuated anything about Chief Remson. The other problem is that the CSD apparently doesn't quite know what to do yet or where to go and is trying to figure that out on the fly. This is far more complicated than just a "labor law issue".

I'm glad you think its a reach. Its my opinion that your posts are extremely anti-administration. Its the soapbox you built, and the one you're continuing to stand on.

No industry or organization knows how to make the changes immediately. Some have better guidance than others, and the ones that don't make the necessary changes make themselves vulnerable to lawsuits. So no, its not that much more complicated. Is there a little bit of haze on what powers the officers have right now? Sounds like it. But you pay attorneys to give you advice. Attorneys. Not wives of officers.

What about this quote, sure seems to imply you think the "Chief" is up to no good.

“LisaT post #15, is the rumor true”
I don't think he can tell you "why", but I hope you get to talk to him to express your concern.

The retention rate of Noller's last 4 years is about 64%, while Remson's first 3 1/2 is at about 31%.

You certainly don't want them keeping people that shouldn't be kept because they are afraid from public backlash, but it certainly does seem like there is something going on.

Perhaps if walls could talk.

I have been very critical of the administration as a whole. I have never pointed fingers, and everything I said above regarding retention rates was the same that I discussed face to face at a security meeting with the Chief, and others, there. I have gone to board meetings to say the same things that I say here. I don't hide behind a fake name and I back up what I say.

With that said, I believe now that the board, etal., are all moving forward in a positive direction.

Btw, even Steve Mobley posted about all the efforts he tried and no one would listen and no one would respond to him in an official sense. Now that. This security is out in the open, he and others blame this as "my issue". It's a community issue.

These particular CSD directors chose to have this looked at. If not for them, we would still be doing things as illegal as they have been for nearly two decades.
