Default How would one find out?

Im curious on how one would find out about the on going or closed cases involoving RM? Especially within the last couple years. Rather it be juveniles, which I know we wont be able to find out names, but atleast we can see if cases were dropped? persued? or closed with convictions?

I would like to get the "stats" (thats the fancy word from the chief and board) on the cases out here.

Ive read the summary logs, and frankly who knows what the heck they are thinking when they write those. I see things in their like suspicious cricumstance(which should read car burglaries), suspicious person(which should read burglary suspect), noise complaint(which should read domestic violence), suspicious vehicle(which should read car accident). It is simply amazing how someone coherses these logs so badly...

I think Mama should be able to help you- she's a great resource for SSD. She can probably even walk you through reading the sea of acronyms too- if you PM her I'll bet she'll help you out. I hear she's nice.

Have you checked out the Sheriff’s Departments Crime Mapping Website (http://crimemap.sacsheriff.com/cvc/). By plugging in our zip code, you can see the information for our area for the past 90 days. It appears there were a whopping ten incidents out here. It does not show on the website who the victims or suspects were, just if it was an assault, burglary, vandalism, etc.

If you are looking for stats for a longer period of time, you might try calling the Rancho Murieta Service Center (354-8509), or the Crime Analyst at the Rockingham Station (875-9602).

If you do know the suspect’s name (providing it is an adult), you can always follow their court case through the Sacramento Superior Court Website (https://services.saccourt.com/indexsearchnew/CaseType.aspx). I know when I first found out about this website, I was shocked to learn about how much information is public record.

Thanks for all that good information but remember....if the crimes were reported to Security and not the Sheriff department, they would not show up on the stats for RM. Only the crimes reported to SSD show up. There were way more than 10 incidents in the 90 days but not reported to SSD or had an SSD report taken.....
