I totally agree about that non-stop onto lago. They ought to just make a stop sign there because you never feel safe not stopping anyway.
If I recall correctly there once was one there and it was removed because of complaints it impeded traffic. Its absence also makes it tricky to turn left coming out of Lago onto the parkway in a slow cart. oh well.

Just plain not stopping at the sign is inexcusable. However, it is a strange intersection. I can't think of anywhere else where traffic going straight has to stop at a sign while traffic turns left in front of it without any stop sign or other traffic control before they turn. I know I have stopped there, and then forgotten that there is no stop for cars turning left from the gate, and started only to have a car all the sudden turning in front of me.

I now assume that the person at the stop sign, probably won't stop, and so I turn very slowly so that I can stop quickly if needed. More than once, the person on Murieta Parkway drives past me giving me a mean look as if I did a really stupid thing! I just laugh to myself, cause that person need only look in the mirror to see the truth!!
Now I know why when I stop at that stop sign I have to convince the turning car it is ok to proceed thru the intersection. I have always wondered if they didn't know they could turn.
