okay Martha, I hope you are having a great cruise! I would love to do an Alaskan Cruise, but... I not only get deathly ill out in the ocean, I also have a issue that causes me to feel for months like the ground is still moving, even when it isn't! And NO, it isn't caused by excess alcohol!!

LOL, Ranch! I'm not a shopper, so wouldn't have caught me in many! However, I did enjoy a local brew in 75% of the ports of call!

Let's just say I only had one "incident". Well, it lasted 18hrs, thanks to 15 foot swells that entire time! Have managed to get around in ports just fine, but know what you mean about the ground moving when it's really not! (and that's without stopping in the local pubs!)

it always makes me smile when people tell me how these big ships have stabilizers and they don't move at all... and then I hear something like you have described. The people that say this don't ever get sea sickness, and so don't have a clue as to how god awful it feels when you are stuck on a ship and are soooo sick you want to jump off! I have been there done that, and won't do it again!! I guess if I want to see the splendour of Alaska, I will have to fly there or take a train if it goes all the way up there!
