Default 4th of July Passes

You get three free passes and then the RMA will charge $5 for any additional passes. I think that is a wise move. If I am bringing in more that three cars full of people $5 is a heck of a deal. Here is the rm.com story

RMA reduces number of free guest passes for July 4 | RanchoMurieta.com -- Rancho Murieta news, homes, golf, forums and people

and here is last year's RMO discussion.

4th of July passes are $5

July 4th is a Saturday this year so it will probably be a busy day. I do have a question. Will permanent guests need a pass prior to arriving at the gate?

Passes apparently apply only to guests not on the permanent guest list now.

Thanks. A couple more questions.

What hours of the day do guest need a pass? Will a guest arriving at 8am need a pass? Also what will occur when a guest arrives at a gate without a pass? Is security being instructed to call the resident? Can residents call in last minute guests or will we need meet them outside the gates to give them a pass.

I am fine with it either way, I am just trying to get answers that I know some people will have.

Due to the events occurring throughout the day I believe it applies on the entire day.

that would make sense to me DB. I would suggest that residents get their passes to their guests before July 4th, and don't expect your guests to be more special than anyone else and hassle the gate to let your special guests come in without the pass!!!

What I have been able to decipher is ALL guests will need a pass. If they do not have a pass when they get to the front gate they MUST be on your permanent guest list or they will not be allowed in. I plan on contacting both RMA & CSD for clarification on this & will let you know their answers.

It will be interesting to see what the reply will be. According to Karen (RM.com) in the remarks section she did get clarification from the BOD President. It was different from the conclusion I drew after listening to the board meeting discussion.

Would it be to difficult for RMA to put the program on channel 5 and explain what the procedure is/will be so the residents can understand it??

I'm sure they don't want to do a mailing...to expensive....but we have new residents in the community that, I'm sure, will get confused about what to do.....somehow, they need to get the word out to them...it's only fair.
