Default Windows Mail

A few years back I used Outlook for Mail.

I have been using AOL (AOL is Evil) for Mail also, since AOL (AOL is Evil) 3.1, at 3600 baud.

I have found Windows Mail (The New Outlook?) on Vista but I have to search for it every time.

I would like to start using Windows Mail, I have activated an Account, I have viewed old Mail and new Mail but I can't find a dang way to make things easier.

Can anyone make my Life a little easier?

I use Windows Mail. I don't about easier, but I put a shortcut on my desktop and in Start it sits permanently at the top left, under IE.

OK, now I really did it; I can't send or receive or send EM.

AOL sends it to Windows Mail, but summin won't let Windows Mail send or receive it.

I have screwed around with whatever in the he77 "POP" numbers are and I am running Trend Micro Anti-Virus as well as Webroot Anti-Virus, Antispyware.

There in lies the problem/problems I believe.

Please speak slowly..............

I don't have AOL but with ATT Yahoo I have to put the same mail settings into Windows mail that ATT Yahoo Uses. So go to your AOL Mail and look up your account properties, POP, Outgoing Server, Incoming Server, etc and put the same info in your Windows mail account properties. Mine also requires a check mark in the box about a requiring authentication. Another place will be under the advanced tab in properties. Your server port numbers could be off. I hope this helps.

Does this make any sense to a Zebra?

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Test', Account: 'POP3', Server: 'AOLO.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

AND:

The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

OK, does AOL have an area where you can get to your mail account properties? Or, does it have a mail account tutorial?
