Because of those youngsters that drive themselves to Pleasant Grove High-my son included-I called the school this morning to give them a heads up-that RM students may arrive late(after calling my son to make sure he was not a part of it). I also emailed my son's first period teacher who emailed me back and told me it was very helpful because he has more than few RM kids in his first period class. The school accepts this from a parent much better than a kid coming in late-"I'm late because there was an accident on....." This way they don't get the tardy check mark and then after a couple the dreaded
"REFERRAL." So-in the future in case I don't see the info about an accident on Jackson (and we know it's a year round event) if others with HS kids could maybe give the school a heads up-that would be great.
