Except that, at the time, CSD didn't say that. EGUSD said a group of residents opposing the Escuela site was the reason they backed out. Here is something from 2002, not exactly addressing CSD's capacity, but proof that the District was backing out of Escuela (and I promise not to log in the next time I read this thread...pretty sure y'all are clear on my position re: EGUSD/CRES...ahem!)
