Re: Possible security changes discussed by RMA BOD Birdie's got a point, no doubt about it. We simply don't have a big scary crime problem. But we do have a modest one which a substantial portion of the membership wants addressed. And ultimately it is the Sheriff who is the answer to the occasional incidents of real crime.
It is right for our leaders to be responsive to that segment of the membership who are demanding that they take some action. Rather than the hyperbolic and/or tongue-in-cheek "everything or nothing" suggestions made here, RMA and CSD need to see what reasonable things can be done to address this constituent concern.
Let's just not over-do it! Penalizing the innocent minors in our midst is not going to reduce vandalism, and may even contribute to it by feeding feelings of alienation.
