For the record and verifiable by all my friends, I may get snookered 3 or 4 times a year. Not a week, not a month, a YEAR. My point about having a few pops and driving your cart home, is that it's better than seeing people get in their cars and try and drive home. Never said it was right, I just believe it's much safer, for EVERYONE. I'll take an idiot hitting a tree in the neighbors yard with his golf cart over hitting a family of 4 in his car on Jackson Hwy., any day of the week.
Ok... so you're ok with the possibility that some drunk golf cart driver heading home, minding his or her own business, forgets to turn on them headlights (darn it, why can't I see?), doesn't notice that nice family of four walking along a not-so-well lit but generally safe street, enjoying a nice evening walk, and runs into them (instead of a tree) at 25 mph in a 1300 lb golf cart? Since this family of four isn't protected by being inside a nice steel cage, how many of them end up with serious injuries or dead?

How about your statement being re-written this way:
I'll take an idiot hitting a kid in the neighbors yard with his golf cart over hitting a family of 4 in his car on Jackson Hwy., any day of the week.

Are you still ok with that? If you are, you're being an advocate for DUI without consequences behind the gates. If you're not, then you're either being hypocritical or being argumentative. How about talking facts here.

You can not control what some drunk driver hits or does not hit inside the gates any more than you can outside the gates. There is a reason why DUI applies even while on private property.
