$600K - $700K? Wow! There is no need to spend that kind of money. I liked Rod comments about using the Operating Engineers training center for grading and excavation work, and a volunteer group would assemble the play structure. Count me in! Outside of operating heavy equipment I am confident most if not all the labor needed could come from residents. Also why not grade the area and maybe just add the tot area. Then later if desired the park could be expanded. In Folsom they build mini neighborhood parks. They generally consist of a small play structure, a water fountain, a bench or two and maybe a table or two. No parking and very little if any grass. |
